Description

His research is focused on securing Europe’s energy and climate security over the course of the global energy transition. On climate, he works to manage the risks of climate change on global security, to identify future global challenges resulting from changing weather patterns, and to prepare Europe and its partners for a more hostile lived environment.

Prior to joining EUISS, Caspar held positions in several think tanks and government institutions with a focus on Energy, Climate and European Foreign Policy. Most recently he was a Policy Analyst at E3G working to secure Europe’s energy system with a focus on energy infrastructure.

He has previously conducted research on spatial planning of energy infrastructure, climate mitigation efforts in the GCC and Iraq, strategic communications between the EU and its partners, and global climate diplomacy.
