On 27 May 2021, the EUISS and the Africa Working Party of the Council of the EU (COAFR) held their twelfth meeting to discuss the new US administration’s foreign policy towards Africa and opportunities for stronger EU/US cooperation.

On 3 October 2018, the EUISS, Clingendael and CNAS organised a roundtable to shed light on recent developments in European and global security and their impact on transatlantic relations.
On 19 September 2018, the EUISS in collaboration with the George C. Marshall Center’s European Center for Security Studies organised a workshop on transatlantic security.
This workshop brought together experts on several topics to provide insights and identify opportunities for increased EU-LAC cooperation. Key topics included the changing political dynamics in the Americas, public security and new cooperation instruments.
In March 2012 the EUISS and the EU Delegation to the United States organised a briefing session for a group of aspiring American journalists in Brussels. Following this event, the EUISS, in partnership with the Medill School at the Northwestern University in Chicago, published the best work of selected students here online.
