Yana Popkostova attended the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa, where she moderated a workshop on the impact of demography and climate change in the continent.
The session focused on the following questions:
- How can we improve the fight against climate change, the main driver behind migration and other future crises?
- How can we harness cultural, social and human dynamics and values to counter insecurity on the continent and new threats?
- The impact of population growth on African societies: what strategies can be implemented to meet the aspirations of the young and address structural youth unemployment?
