Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative (NAPCI) and EU-ROK Cooperation
The EUISS hosted the second conference on the Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative (NAPCI) and the European experience on 18-19 June in Brussels. The event was jointly organised with the Korean National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA), and supported by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the EEAS. This year’s conference addressed avenues for cooperation between the EU and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in the framework of NAPCI – notably in the fields of environmental governance, cyber security and disaster management. In typical 1.5 Track fashion, it was attended by experts, as well as governmental officials from the EU, the ROK, China, Japan, Russia, the US and Mongolia.
