Dr Luigi Scazzieri is a Senior Policy Analyst in charge of the Common Security and Defence Policy portfolio at the EUISS. In this capacity, he leads the institute’s analysis on defence and defence industrial issues.
Luigi Scazzieri is a non-resident associate fellow at the Centre for European Reform (CER), where he was based for eight years prior to joining EUISS. He held a range of positions at the CER, including that of Assistant Director.
Luigi has briefed politicians, government officials and corporate leaders on issues relating to European defence and security. He has given oral evidence to the European Parliament, the British House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Dr Scazzieri holds a doctorate in European Politics from King’s College London. He holds masters’ degrees from King’s and the London School of Economics. He obtained his BA from the University of Cambridge.
