Second meeting of the Task Force on Chinese Futures

The second meeting of the 'Chinese Futures Task Force' looked into the drivers of China’s foreign and security policy in Asia.

The group focused on the main trends and priorities shaping Beijing’s regional positioning, identifying the importance of sovereignty, the use of ‘charm offensive’ in addressing its neighbourhood, and the role of big power relations as the likely constants in China’s strategic calculus and future orientation.
