On 11 April 2019, Daniel Fiott was invited by the EU’s Political and Security Committee (PSC) to participate in a lunch debate on Artificial intelligence (AI).

On 2 April, the EUISS and the Africa Working Party of the Council of the EU (COAFR) jointly organised the second informal breakfast meeting on sub-Saharan Africa in Brussels.

Daniel Fiott served as master of ceremonies and panel moderator at a high-level conference in Bucharest.

On 28 February 2019, the EUISS and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organised a high-level conference on hybrid threats, resilience and strategic communication in Bucharest under the auspices of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
