Trump-Putin talks: the EU is lagging behind

Reacting to EU leaders talks ahead of a meeting between the American and the Russian Presidents, Director Steven Everts shares concern that the EU is lagging behind in the negotiations. "The EU is primarily reacting. We're responding to what Trump and Putin say. The EU could also have taken the initiative itself to organize a diplomatic summit with Trump, Zelensky, the EU, and ultimately Putin. Now we have to rely primarily on indirectly influencing the negotiations being conducted elsewhere and by others."
