Tim Rühlig on the US-China 6G spectrum fight

As Washington prepares for negotiations over the spectrum needed for 6G ahead of the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-27) in Shanghai, Tim Rühlig told MLex that while hosting the conference offers procedural influence, regional coalitions largely shape the outcome in advance, making China's relationships across Asia and Africa particularly important. "The biggest US risk at WRC-27 isn't Chinese agenda-setting," he argued, "it's US preparation".
