Steven Everts on Europe's "psychology of weakness"

Our Director Steven Everts joined the European Policy Centre's podcast to discuss why Europe struggles to defend its interests and how it can overcome this "psychology of weakness". 

"It's better to do something significant at 24 than being perennially paralysed by the need to act at 27," he remarked on the podcast.

Also speaking to Le Monde, Steven explained that Europe still has not fully rid itself of this long-standing “psychology of weakness” and is paralysed by fear of escalating tensions with Trump.
