Putin's Russia is still the gravest threat to European security and the European project, remarked Ondrej Ditrych at the European Parliament as guest speaker at the joint meeting of the Delegation for relations with the US, the Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, and the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee

During his speech, he analysed how the Russian threat will evolve in the context of transatlantic turbulences and a prospective ceasefire in Ukraine. He also addressed the mounting pressures on Russia's economy and how the EU could step up measures to restrict oil flows, the critical source of Russian income.
