Ondrej Ditrych on Seznam Zprávy's podcast

Ondrej Ditrych joined Seznam Zprávy's '5:59' podcast to discuss the ambitions of the US, Russia and China in the Arctic, the hybrid campaigns Moscow is using to exert its influence in the region, and why the risk of escalation and conflict cannot be underestimated. 

Ondrej explained that the hybrid campaigns and operations Russia is using in the Arctic are Moscow's "dominant tool" and are already well known to Europe from other regions. In the case of Greenland, "we see the use of naval vessels for espionage or sabotage of submarine cables in the area of Spitsbergen or the Faroe Islands".

According to Ondrej, "Russia is also trying to exploit various local contexts, such as disputes over control over fishing areas or the specific status of certain territories". (in Czech)
