Will the Zelensky-Putin summit be ground-breaking and lead to peace? "I would moderate expectations," said Ondrej Ditrych to iRozhlas (Český rozhlas Plus) about the potential meeting of Presidents Zelensky and Putin. "I think there is a big question mark over whether any meeting, whether bilateral or trilateral, will even take place."
When asked about whether there is reason for optimism about the approaching end of the war in Ukraine, Ondrej says that the process is now moving forward, but how and where it will end is very uncertain at this point.
Ondrej argues that while there is undoubtedly a chance for a good outcome from the Europeans' point of view, it is very difficult to anticipate it, because the positions of the actors are now evolving and Russia will try to reverse the current, not entirely favourable development for them.
