"An algorithm always includes biases," said Clotilde Bômont to Euronews in an article discussing the concerns raised around Albania's new AI minister.
"The social, industrial, economic and scientific background in which an AI model is developed influences the algorithm and therefore has an impact on the outcomes," she explained.
When asked about the US CLOUD Act and EU concerns over possible US access to European data stored by American companies, Clotilde noted that it's a "big debate" whether a minister operating based on foreign AI models could effectively "allow Microsoft or the US government to access the data."
