Alice Ekman joined the Contact podcast (in French) to discuss China's ambitions and the emerging new phase of rivalry with the US. "China is becoming increasingly tough in negotiations and is doing so in an increasingly public and open manner," she remarked.

Alice explained that Beijing seeks to reshape the international order according to its own rules and worldview, while openly asserting its red lines, particularly on Taiwan, Iran, and Western sanctions.

Discussing the evolving geopolitical alliances between Beijing, Moscow, and Tehran, she highlighted China’s implicit support for Iran, its strategic rapprochement with Russia, and its ambition to unite what it calls the "Global South". According to Alice, China is advancing a vision of global order in which the West is no longer seen as the benchmark, but rather the adversary to be overcome.
