Bojana Zorić spoke to the Georgian Public Broadcaster about the ongoing protests in Serbia, their root causes, and their potential impact. She highlighted how the Novi Sad railway station collapse ignited a nationwide movement, discussed the government’s response, and examined the geopolitical implications, particularly for Serbia’s EU accession process. She noted that these protests come at a time of increasing pressure on Serbia to align with the EU and the US, as Russia’s economic influence wanes due to global sanctions on Gazprom. Addressing Serbia’s European path, she emphasised that regardless of who holds power, the country has no viable alternative - geopolitically, strategically, or economically - other than the EU.
