Bojana Zorić, speaking to TV channel N1, analysed the protests in Serbia and their international coverage, particularly from the US and the EU.
She pointed out that international media coverage of the protests gained significant momentum only after the resignation of Prime Minister Vučević. This suggests that the international community had been hesitant to comment until clearer political signals emerged from within Serbia. The resignation may have been perceived as an acknowledgment of the gravity of the situation, prompting renewed global interest.
Nonetheless, Bojana Zorić noted that the protests have already resonated across the EU, and Member States are well aware of the developments in Serbia. While Brussels may be cautious in its response for now, continued unrest will put increasing pressure on EU institutions to take a firmer position.
