As EU Member States consider a new trade instrument, Beijing is already threatening retaliatory measures. "It's an attempt to intimidate us and a tactic the Chinese have used for quite a while: before we take action, they engage in major sabre-rattling, hoping some Member States will fear the countermeasures and end up blocking EU action," said Tim Rühlig on the im Loop podcast, where he discussed the EU-China trade dispute.
