Discussing the challenges facing Europe's armed forces, our Director Steven Everts told Euronews that recruitment and retention is a complex issue countries are grappling with, pointing to concerns about pay and working conditions among soldiers. 

He also highlighted that a major conundrum lies in how Europe intends to expand its pool of reservists. He explained that Europe's rearmament drive has not been matched by the organisational reforms needed to make such a system work.
