Steven Everts on the debate around reinstating conscription

In an interview with Het Financieele Dagblad (in Dutch), our Director Steven Everts and Jean Debie, the President of the Dutch military union VBM, debated the reinstatement of the obligation to report for duty in the Netherlands, conscription across Europe more broadly, as well as the need to scale up the defence apparatus.

"How do you engage young people? As far as I am concerned, on the basis of voluntary participation and equality between men and women. But link service to future prospects," argued Steven.
