"The timing [of Aleksandar Vučić's phone conversation with Emmanuel Macron] is not coincidental"

"It is more closely related to the current situation in Serbia than a mere 'business as usual' approach, especially considering that in the past year or two, the two countries have strengthened their business ties even further," said Bojana Zorić to N1 (in Serbian). 

Commenting on President Macron's post in Serbian Cyrillic, she urged caution when interpreting this conversation as outright support for president Vučić, because it can be interpreted in multiple ways. She reminded that, according to diplomatic protocol, President Vučić is indeed President Macron's counterpart, making this the standard line of communication between the two highest officials of their respective countries.
