Fourth COAFR meeting

On 9 October, the EUISS and the Africa Working Party of the Council of the EU (COAFR) jointly organised the fourth informal meeting on sub-Saharan Africa in Brussels. The informal meeting looked at the dynamics of intra-African migration flows.  

Dr Schraven (German Development Institute) gave a reading of current trends and challenges to migration governance in sub-Saharan Africa, with a special focus on West and East Africa, by highlighting differences and common patterns between the IGAD and ECOWAS regions. The meeting was coordinated by EUISS Senior Analyst Giovanni Faleg and chaired by EUISS Senior Associate Analyst Katariina Mustasilta.
