The Countering Foreign Interference (CFI) project held its kick-off event on 28 March 2023. The event was divided in two parts:

  • In the morning, a closed-door roundtable brought together a selected group of practitioners and experts to discuss technical aspects of the project’s work plan, with a focus on two concept papers produced by implementing partners.
  • In the afternoon, a one-hour online event, opened by the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), the European Commission’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) and European External Action Service (EEAS), publicly kicked-off the project, and was followed by partners’ presentations of the project concept papers and analytical insights from the field to a broad constituency of key stakeholders, particularly from EU institutions, EU capitals and EU Delegations and CSDP missions and operations.
