On 18 October, the EUISS together with the European External Action Service (EEAS), the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs, and Casa Asia organised a roundtable discussion entitled "The EU’s Indo-Pacific Strategy: Where to and How?” in Barcelona.
Ahead of the next edition EU-Indo-Pacific Forum in February 2024, the meeting sought to discuss the EU's implementation of its Indo-Pacific Strategy and assess its current assets and vulnerabilities in a swiftly changing region, and how to improve it moving forward.
The meeting brought together EU and Indo-Pacific experts including Directors of Asia-Pacific departments from EU Member States to discuss this issue and provide concrete policy orientations for a strengthened EU within that space.
