On 4–5 November 2024, the Advancing the Cyber Programme of Action (PoA) project participated in the European Cyber Diplomacy Dialogue. The event is an annual retreat organised by EU Cyber Direct – EU Cyber Diplomacy Initiative and the European University Institute (EUI), held at EUI premises in Florence, Italy.

Over the course of two days, the Dialogue provided a platform for in-depth discussions on cyber diplomacy. The PoA project held a dedicated session, led by PoA Project Officers, featuring a presentation of the project, outlining its structure, objectives, expected outcomes, and rationale. The session also showcased the project's first outputs offering valuable insights into the evolving landscape of cyber governance.

Beyond its informational role, the session enriched the broader dialogue by providing essential background knowledge that informed subsequent discussions. The European Cyber Diplomacy Dialogue is a critical platform for discussing the future of cyberspace governance, fostering discussions on a value-driven European approach to cyber. The conference brought together policymakers, diplomats, and experts focusing on brainstorming, reflecting, and aligning the EU’s cyber diplomacy efforts with its broader foreign policy objectives.
