Washington Forum 2016

25 May 2016

The EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) jointly organised this year’s EUISS Washington Forum. The Forum is a platform to bring together EU and member state officials with their US counterparts for a dialogue on the main security challenges currently facing both the US and Europe. In addition to the 28 Brussels-based ambassadors from the Political and Security Committee (PSC), a number of officials from the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the US government participated. This year’s topics were the US presidential elections and the Middle East, with a special focus on Syria, Libya and Iran.
