On 18th June 2021, EUISS and the International Peace Institute (IPI) co-hosted a virtual workshop on “Taking the UN-EU strategic partnership on peace operations and crisis management to the next level: Priorities 2022-2024”, organised in cooperation with the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the United Nations Departments of Peace Operations (DPO), Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), and Operational Support (DOS).

The event brought together decision-makers and stakeholders to discuss lessons learned from past collaboration, changes in the strategic and operational environments, and how to drive forward the UN-EU partnership by renewing and updating the joint priorities for the period 2022-2024, taking into account the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic.

EUISS’ Director Gustav Lindstrom chaired the discussion and Senior Analyst Giovanni Faleg presented the key takeaways.
