To protect and serve? EU security and defence in action

On 27 November 2017, the EUISS hosted a launch event for the recently published Chaillot Paper 'Permanent Structured Cooperation: What’s in a name?'. The launch event provided a forum for senior policymakers from EU institutions and representatives from the Political and Security Committee to share their thoughts with think-tank and academic representatives on Permanent Structured Cooperation (PeSCo) and the range of security and defence initiatives launched by the EU since the publication of the EU Global Strategy.

The Deputy Secretary General for CSDP and Crisis Response at the EEAS, Pedro Serrano, and Special Adviser to EU HR/VP, Nathalie Tocci, delivered keynote speeches.
