From 7-11 June 2021, EUISS co-organised module 4 of the 16th High-Level Course on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). It worked alongside the European Security and Defence College, the Hellenic National Ministry of Defence, the Hellenic National Defence College and the Austrian National Defence Academy to deliver a range of lectures focusing on the future of the CSDP and neighbouring regions.

The Institute was represented by Gustav Lindstrom, EUISS Director, who delivered a lecture on European security challenges, Florence Gaub, EUISS Deputy Director, with a lecture on the security situation in the Mediterranean, and Daniel Fiott, Security and Defence Editor at the EUISS, who spoke about CSDP and emerging threats. The High-Level Course brings together some 60 senior-level EU and member state officials and representatives.
