EU-UN partnerships in crisis management and peace operations: best practices and next steps – Seminar 2

12 November 2014

On 12-13 November 2014, the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF) and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-hosted in Berlin the second of three high-level seminars on EU-UN cooperation. The event, which is part of a series of activities coorganised with the EUISS on EU-UN cooperation in crisis management, brought together EU and UN senior officials, representatives from EU member states and relevant think tanks. After a first meeting in Rome, this event focused on cooperation in planning and in the field of security sector reform. A related Policy Brief on EU-UN cooperation in mission planning – written by Thierry Tardy, Senior Analyst at the EUISS, and Richard Gowan, Associate Director at the Center on International Cooperation – can be downloaded below.
