EU-China Informal Security Dialogue

Attended by high-level military and government officials, academics and security experts from both sides, the event sought to deepen and broaden the discussion on security issues of common interest and explore possibilities for further cooperation between the EU and China.

Participants exchanged views on the security situation in Afghanistan, the Korean Peninsula and connectivity, which were identified as the most topical areas of interest. Both parties agreed on the benefits of such exchanges for greater coordination of agendas and highlighted the added value of EU-China cooperation for global security.
