ESDC alumni seminar

On 25 and 26 February, 2016, the EUISS co-organised, with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), the Egmont Institute, and the Netherlands Presidency of the Council of the EU, the ESDC alumni seminar, which brought together more than 80 alumni of past ESDC courses.

The seminar looked at the forthcoming EU Global Strategy (EUGS) on foreign and security policy. After an opening session on Thursday 25 February with a keynote address by General Michail Kostarakos, Chairman of the EU Military Committee, the second day was built around three panels that featured, among others, Gabor Iklody, Director of the Crisis Management and Planning Directorate at the EEAS, LtGen. Wolfgang Wosolsobe, Director General of the EU Military Staff, and Ambassador Carola Van Rijnsoever, PSC Permanent Representative from the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the EU.
