Daniel Fiott in Vienna for a high-level event on the European Defence Fund

Daniel Fiott served as panel moderator at a high-level symposium in Vienna entitled ‘The European Defence Fund – Driving Factor for Defence Research and Innovation: New Ways, New Means, New Funds’. The conference was co-organised by the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the European Commission and the European Defence Agency, and saw the participation of over 540 participants. The event focused on the design, governance and impact of the European Defence Fund.

Daniel moderated a panel composed of renowned speakers such as Lowri Evans, Director General of DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, European Commission; Jan Pie, Secretary General of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe; Frank Treppe, President of the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations; Olli Ruutu, Deputy Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency and Jean-Francois Ripoche, R&T Director at the French Ministry for the Armed Forces.
