Daniel Fiott moderates high level panel on the digitalisation of armed forces and digital sovereignty

Daniel Fiott served as a panel moderator at a high-level strategic-political dialogue on ‘The Armed Forces in the Digital Age’. The conference was organised by the German Federal Ministry of Defence under the German Presidency of the Council of the EU. Over 150 participants from EU institutions, member states governments and armed forces, industry and civil society attended the event held online.

Daniel moderated a panel on the 'Requirements of Armed Forces for Digital Sovereignty' and he was joined by Olli Ruutu, Deputy Chief Executive of the European Defence Agency; Jacob Boratynski, Acting Director for Digital Society, Trust and Cybersecurity at DG Connect, European Commission; Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl, Director of Digital Europe; Antonio Missiroli, Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges at NATO; and Lt Gen Michael Vetter, Director General Cyber/IT and Chief Information Officer at the German Federal Ministry of Defence.
