African futures – Project launch meeting

21 November 2016

On 21 November, the EUISS held the first meeting of the ‘African Futures’ project at its Liaison Office in Brussels. This event was the first of the series of meetings and workshops that will take place before the publication of the ‘African Futures’ report in June 2017. ‘African Futures’ aims to explore developments in Africa over the next ten years by identifying the long-term trends shaping the continent’s social and political landscape. The launch meeting gathered the group of experts and partner organisations specialising in African security and policy issues. As a follow-up, the next event aims to gather participants from various think tanks and EU institutions in Paris in January 2017.
